How to Access the Trial of the Sekhemas
Reach Act 2 and Defeat Balbala, the Traitor:
Balbala is found in the Traitor’s Passage area near Halani Gates during the "Trail of Corruption" questline.
To open the path to Balbala, find and interact with the three Runic Seals inside the Ancient Seal room.
After unbinding and defeating Balbala in combat, you will receive Balbala’s Barya, a coin needed to enter the Trial.
Return to the Ardura Caravan:
Talk to the NPC Balbala, the Advisor, who appears after defeating Balbala the Traitor.
Use the Desert Map to travel to the Trial of the Sekhemas.
Using the Barya to Enter the Trial:
At the Trial entrance, place the Balbala’s Barya or other Sekhemas Coins like the Test of Time Barya on the Relic Altar to begin the run.
These coins modify the trial run providing different bonuses or effects.
Inside the Trial of the Sekhemas
The Trial consists of several floors filled with combat rooms, traps, puzzles, and endurance challenges.
Your goal is to survive each floor and defeat the final boss, Zarohk, the Temporal.
You gain Honor, a special resource that acts as a shield; losing all Honor forces you to restart the trial.
You may choose rooms with boons (beneficial effects) or afflictions (challenges) that affect gameplay during the run.
Boons provide helpful bonuses like damage buffs, defense boosts, or resource restoration.
Afflictions inflict penalties like increased enemy damage or limited healing options.
Progress and Rewards
Completing floors successfully grants rewards such as Ascendancy points, powerful gear, and Sekhemas Coins.
Higher tier Djinn Barya coins allow for longer trial runs with more floors and greater rewards.
If you fail, you can talk to Balbala to get another Barya and attempt the trial again.
